MY TRIP TO RAJASTHAN & TRAIN JOURNEY

#EPISODE 1

MY TRIP TO RAJASTHAN

Recently, I went to Rajasthan with my grandparents along with some of their friends, as a trip arranged by S.A.B Tours. I enjoyed a lot and it was my first kind of trip with lots of twists, fun, excitement and good things. I wish to share a few moments, that made my trip to be remembered. Here is the story of my first trip to Rajasthan and the places I explored as the series #RajasthanDiaries.

I was happened to travel with a group of a senior citizen, which I never expected. But they were not as strict, grumpy as I thought they would be. At the end, I found them as most energetic, lively, and friendly. I met all of them after boarding the train. And we are the group of 23 members got ready to explore Rajasthan.

TRAIN JOURNEY

  1. DEPART TO RAJASTHAN:

I am traveling to Rajasthan for the first time, quite excited that I am going by train. As I never traveled on a train that often (honestly it is my second time since 2006). We were traveling to Jaipur via Jaipur Express no 12969. We boarded the train at Chennai Central Railway Station by 5 pm and it was the 2 nights, 1-day travel by train.

We packed food from home and also stuffed lots of snacks. After the train started, for first few hours we were talking to each other and co-passengers, as I am a newbie in the group. Then we had dinner and later I jumped to the upper berth (which was so scary and felt as if I am falling down) and struggled to sleep as I was so conscious of the train movement and I do not even know when did I fall asleep (And my fear is gone in the following night).

IDLI AND CHUTNEY WE HAD DURING OUR JOURNEY

The next day in the morning after breakfast, since all the team members brought food from home, we shared and enjoyed different food and taste. We chit chatted a while and started to play games. It was very interesting as we played different games. (p.s. I learned to play “declare” in the cards game).

 2. DEPART TO CHENNAI:

We boarded the train Jodhpur Express no 16126 from Mount Abu at around 1 am. We slept for long hours as we are tired of the long journey. After brunch, I continued reading my books.

Then later we talked about the trip and ate the food of different states we crossed by. I liked the food at Vijayawada Junction. I had coffee and bread omelet. It was so yummy. After all, we are South Indians, we went crazy on seeing our hometown food like dosa, idli with chutney and sambar.
